Wow, I just finished Lovey Bones, by Alice Sebold, and it is a VERY good book. I have been told the movie is not that good, so I recommend not wasting your time watching the movie first.
The book is a sad story about a girl tragically killed, but it turns into a touching novel about life and family. There were a few offensive sexual parts that I had to skip over, but other than that, I was impressed by this book. Sebold is a great storyteller, and the book was hard to put down!! 2 thumbs up for me!!!
